Now that I'm middle-aged and in a committed relationship, I can't say I regret leaving those wild days behind. The memories, however, have grown more golden with time. I guess if I was 35 again, I'd do it all over once more.
The Morning After
In my younger years, particularly in my twenties, I had some pretty wild New Year's Eves. A few times I woke up on New Year's Day in a bed with some bloke I had no recollection of meeting. I imagine I'm like most men, gay or straight -- my standards were considerably lower whilst intoxicated.
Now that I'm middle-aged and in a committed relationship, I can't say I regret leaving those wild days behind. The memories, however, have grown more golden with time. I guess if I was 35 again, I'd do it all over once more.
